A silver Silvertown Hole-In-One trophy, hallmarked 1929.

A Silvertown Hole-In-One silver trophy comprising three clubs meeting at their top to form a pyramid, raised on a Bakelite plinth, inside which is the Silver King ball. Base has hallmarked silver plaque stating: “Lanark Golf Club / 10th Hole (150 yards) in one by /Mr J.S. Bryce / 12 – 10 – 29”. There is another plaque underneath which reads: “With the compliments of the Silvertown Co”.
Very good condition, hallmarks on one club and plaque London 1929, 6 1/4 inches high.
Dunlop, Silvertown and Spalding produced attractive hole-in-one trophies during the 20s and 30s and this is an example of the superior Silvertown type.
